About Relio

We spent decades building technology for payers.

The most advanced technology in healthcare was built to say no. We know — we helped build it. Relio puts that same intelligence in the hands of the people delivering care.

The asymmetry

One side has AI. The other is on hold.

For thirty years, payers invested in the models, automation, and rule engines that protect their margin. The people delivering care were left to keep up by hand. It is the most one-sided back office in healthcare.

The payer
  • Denial models tuned for decades
  • Live rule engines, per line
  • Automated review at every step
  • Armies of AI working the edge cases
Built to say no.
The provider
  • Spreadsheets of payer rules, a quarter behind
  • Phone holds and faxed appeals
  • Manual rework on every denial
  • Capacity capped by who you can hire
Outgunned by design.

Relio puts that same intelligence on the other side of the table. The field levels.

Why we exist

We came from the other side of the claim.

Relio was built by a team that has worked across the healthcare payment ecosystem, including the systems and workflows that shape how claims are reviewed, routed, and resolved. Our mission is to give providers the same level of intelligence, automation, and operational leverage that the rest of the healthcare economy has been building toward for years. Not to replace revenue teams, but to give them the platform they deserve.

What we believe

What we hold to be true.

01

The field should be level.

The intelligence payers kept for themselves belongs to providers too. That's the whole point.

02

Caught upstream beats fixed downstream.

Prevent the denial. Don't build a department to manage it after the fact.

03

Context should compound.

Every claim should make the next one smarter — across payers, specialties, and accounts.

04

Own the outcome.

Software isn't enough. We embed forward-deployed engineers and stay accountable for the metrics.

The team

Built by people who know both sides.

We're a small team of operators, engineers, and clinicians who spent years inside the payer machine — and grew tired of watching it win. We've shipped eligibility systems, claims engines, and the denial models that providers fight every day. We started Relio to turn that knowledge around: to give independent practices, and the firms that bill for them, the same advantage the largest payers take for granted. We care about this for one simple reason — care should be the hard part of healthcare. Getting paid for it shouldn't be.
